Hana Bands Acupressure Wristbands

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Hana Bands acupressure wristbands are a drug-free solution to nausea. Applying pressure on the Nei-Kuan (P6) acupressure point on the wrists has been clinically proven to relieve many types of nausea, including morning and motion sickness.

Hana Bands are typically effective within a few minutes and can be worn before or after nausea has started. They are soft and comfortable, fitting most wrist sizes.

HOW IT WORKS

Acupressure is the ancient healing practice of putting pressure on specific acupoints on the body. Applying pressure on the Nei-Kuan (P6) acupressure point on the wrists has been clinically proven to relieve nausea caused by a variety of conditions and treatments, from motion sickness to morning sickness to chemotherapy. Hana Bands are soft and flexible wristbands with a plastic stud in each band that make it easy to apply pressure to the Nei-Kuan acupoint.

HOW TO USE

Please see infographic on product page below.

Place your middle three fingers on the inside of your wrist below the crease. The Nei-Kuan point is located between the two wrist tendons. Position the plastic stud of the wristband facing inwards on the point. Always wear both wristbands to be effective. More nausea relief can be gained by applying finger pressure to the plastic stud as necessary.

HANA BANDS FAQ

Q: Do I have to wear both bands?

A: Yes, your Hana Bands will come as a pair, and you should wear one band on each wrist in order to relieve nausea.

Q: How long should I wear them?

A: You can use your Hana Bands as long as they feel comfortable and the condition causing your nausea persists (for example, throughout your road trip or pregnancy). You may wear your Hana Bands for up to 48 continuous hours before taking a break.

Wear your bands so that they are snug but comfortable, and do not interfere with circulation. If you experience swelling, pain, skin irritation, or numbness in your fingers, you should stop wearing the bands and consult a medical professional.

Q: How long will it take until I experience relief?

A: Hana Bands are typically effective within a few minutes and can be worn before or after nausea has started. If possible, we recommend putting the bands on before nausea sets in (i.e. before your road trip if anticipating motion sickness, or first thing in the morning if dealing with morning sickness).

Q: How can I be sure they will fit my wrist?

A: Hana Bands are one size fits most. Due to the stretchy elastic, they accommodate a wide range of wrist sizes. The bands should be snug around your wrists, yet still comfortable.

Q: Are there any side effects or warnings?

A: Please use Hana Bands only as directed.

After wearing the bands, a temporary circle may be visible in the skin where the pressure bead was placed. Acupressure may provide relief of nausea symptoms but does not cure underlying causes. Hana Bands should be worn only on the P6 point, as use in another location will not relieve nausea. Nausea and vomiting may be associated with serious conditions and you should consult a doctor if symptoms persist. You should consult your doctor before wearing Hana Bands if you have problems with reduced circulation, carpal tunnel syndrome, or neuropathy.
